I like to paint on wood and usually on found or scraps of wood.In this case this was a found cabinet door.I really like to find these because they have built in frames which I can then paint to go with the painting the way I think it should be.This one was just given a dark rosewood stain.
The painting itself is for sale through me ( use the contact link ) or prints are available as usual. The painted image itself is 7"x15" and is quite 3 dimensional with the small framed saint actually applied,glass intact to the larger painting.The measurements given in the listing will be for the entire piece including the 'frame' as it is one.
I have been making art since I can remember.Recently I discovered the world of making art on the mobile device (I use an android phone).This makes for a smaller image size and perfect for note cards. My work tends to be a little on the darker side and perhaps not everyone's cup of tea.To each his own.
